Heike has been has been practicing Yoga since 1995 and started teaching classical Hatha Yoga 2001. After she took her first Ashtanga Class in 2001 she went almost every winter to Mysore to study with Pattabhi Jois.
She received authorization by him in 2007. In 2008 she opened her own yoga studio in Cologne, Germany where she started a morning Mysore programme.
She has taught numerous students, not only in her own studio but also as guest teacher in Thailand, Cambodia and Australia.
Because of hip-osteoarthritis she rediscovered swimming, a sport of her youth.
She was introduced to the Shaw Method “Art of Swimming” which was a complete game-changer in terms of front crawl.
Discovering how much the smooth way of swimming and the practice of yoga complement each other, she did the training with Steven Shaw and started to teach and offer the unique format of Yoga-Swim-Retreats.
Rosalind was formerly a competitive swimmer and qualified as a Shaw Method Swimming Instructor in 2014.
She specialises in coaching for open-water swimming and has experience working with beginners, swimmers with injuries, people with a fear of water, and triathletes.
Aside from swimming, Rosalind is a Somatic Movement Educator, Yoga Instructor, Dance Artist, and hands-on bodyworker, also trained in aquatic massage.
